Bradley House

Bradley House Residential Home welcomes both elderly men and women, from the age
of 65 and over. It is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to house 10 people. The home is registered non smoking, smokers are encouraged to visit the garden to have a cigarette.
During your stay with us your needs may change. We will make every effort to meet those needs but if at any time we feel that we cannot meet them you will be assessed and it may be necessary to transfer you to a nursing home or hospital. In the event of short term illness, we would of course look after you to the best of our abilities.

Bradley House is a Georgian House situated in the High Street at Shirehampton. It is a grade 2 listed building, standing in a large walled garden, a level walk from the village which has a good selection of shops, hairdressers, banks, places of worship, a library and other amenities. Shirehampton is one mile from the M5 motorway and four miles from Bristol. Long term accommodation is offered and consists of fully carpeted and centrally heated single bed-sitting rooms with vanity units, T.V. point and resident/staff call system. A private telephone line can be installed on request. Rooms are furnished but residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture. Six of the rooms are located on the first floor with a lift servicing most of them, two others are on the second floor and the remaining two are on the ground flour. There is a spacious drawing room with communal T.V. screen, a garden room and a dining room. Residents are also welcome to use the kitchen at their discretion. All bedrooms and communal room sizes conform to the new National Minimum Standards for Care Home for Older People issued by the Department of Health.

Making a Decision
To help you decide whether or not you would like to live at Bradley House, we will give you as much time and information needed to make an informed decision. Firstly, you will be given, with this brochure, a statement of purpose, in which you will find further details about the home, then you will be invited at Bradley House for a guided tour of the home.
You will also be offered to join the other residents for a meal or a hot drink, depending on the time of your visit. Finally, the first month of your residence, at Bradley House, will be mutually recognised as a trial period.
